Growing up, we chased every fish and tide we could find — lake hopping with rods and bikes, slinging cast nets in neighborhood ponds, crabbing along the Florida coast, and body surfing until we were too sore to move. We were raised salty, sunburnt, and stubborn, living for that next cast or wave.

Now, we’re older but no less hooked. Weekends still mean boat decks, sandbars, cold beers, and late-night fires. But every time we looked for gear that fit that life, it felt fake — surf brands pushing Instagram-ready fluff, fishing clothes that screamed “tournament uniform,” no grit, no soul.
